Work Abroad (Philippines is an online career resource that offers overseas jobs and employment opportunities to Filipino workers and job seekers wanting to pursue careers abroad. The job openings in this website are posted and processed by foreign employers and Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA)-licensed recruitment agencies sending Filipinos in Asia, United States (US), Canada, United Kingdom (UK) and Middle East countries like Dubai in United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Operated and managed by Quantum X, Inc., an IT company that specializes in recruitment software and web applications development, WorkAbroad.ph intends to bring employers and job seekers together, allowing them to interact directly for cost effective recruitment. WorkAbroad.ph started in May 2003 when Mr. Robert John Oh, Managing Partner of Quantum X, Inc. started conceptualizing a system that will provide job seekers a convenient way to search for lower end job openings. By July 2003, two dedicated web programmers of Quantum X, Inc. began website programming. After two moths, (September 2003) Hire Filipinos website was launched.
