GEOGRAPHY Wilson is located at (33.318379, -101.727184). According to the United States Census Bureau , the city has a total area of 1.7 Km&2 (0.6 Mi&2 ), all land. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census of 2000, there were 532 people, 182 households, and 139 families residing in the city. The Population Density was 316.0/km&2 (816.8/mi&2). There were 194 housing units at an average density of 115.2/km&2 (297.8/mi&2). The racial makeup of the city was 72.56% White , 0.94% African American , 22.18% from Other Races , and 4.32% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 55.45% of the population. There were 182 households out of which 39.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.1% were Married Couples living together, 9.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.1% were non-families. 19.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.92 and the average family size was 3.41. In the city the population was spread out with 32.1% under the age of 18, 10.3% from 18 to 24, 23.1% from 25 to 44, 23.5% from 45 to 64, and 10.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females there were 103.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.8 males. The median income for a household in the city was $28,333, and the median income for a family was $32,000. Males had a median income of $26,944 versus $18,438 for females. The Per Capita Income for the city was $12,654.
