Wauconda High School, officially '''Wauconda Community High School''', and most commonly '''WHS''', is a public four-year High School located in Wauconda, Illinois , a northern suburb of Chicago, Illinois , in the United States . It is part of Wauconda Community Unit School District 118.


HISTORY

Wauconda first opened its doors in September, 1958.


ACADEMICS

In 2005, Wauconda had an average composite ACT score of 21.0, and graduated 92.0% of its senior class. The average class size is 19.6. Wauconda competes in the North Suburban Conference and Illinois High School Association . Its mascot is Bruiser the Bulldog . Also Wauconda has an outstanding basketball program. The cheerleaders took 3rd in state.
