Vision Racing, LLC is owned and operated by Tony George and wife, Laura, along with actor Patrick Dempsey of the TV show Grey's Anatomy . It was founded in 2005 when George purchased the assets of the defunct Kelley Racing team. The team is based in Indianapolis in a 32,000 square foot facility. Vision Racing competes full-time in the 17-race IndyCar Series , and for the first time, in 2007 the team participated in the 24 Hours Of Daytona at the Daytona International Speedway . Entering its third season of IndyCar competition, the team is coming off 15 top-ten finishes, three top-five finishes and a third place finish in 2006. The team features returning drivers Ed Carpenter and Tomas Scheckter who are joined by A. J. Foyt IV , who is new to the team and returning to the IndyCar series after a year's absence.
