Introduction Video Captures or '''Vid-Caps''' are defined by Henry Jenkins , Director of the Comparative Media Studies Program at MIT and author of ''Convergence Culture: Where Old and New Media Collide'', as "images grabbed digitally from the television broadcast so that they can be examined more closely by the members of the knowledge community or so that they simply can be enjoyed by fans of the series." Examples of Vid-Caps used by Jenkins In ''Convergence Culture'', Jenkins uses the example of the ''Survivor'' reality show online spoiler groups and their use of Vid-Caps to confirm or reject rumors about which contestant would be "booted" from their tribe next. Other Examples of Vid-Caps Another example of the use of Vid-Caps is the recently released trailer for .
