HISTORY The venezolano replaced the Peso at par and was pegged to the French Franc at a rate of 1 venezalano = 5 francs. The venezolano was replaced by the Bolívar at a rate of 1 venezolano = 5 bolívares. COINS In 1874, silver 5, 10, 20 and 50 centavos and 1 venezalano coins were introduced.
