The Usk Reservoir is located in the upper Usk Valley , at 1,050 ft (320 m) above sea level, in Carmarthenshire , south Wales . The Reservoir is situated in part of the Brecon Beacons National Park . Completed in 1955 , it now covers some 280 Acre s of land. It can be located just off the minor road between Trecastle and Llanddeusant , 7 miles west of Sennybridge .
