''TTG'', as it is widely known, was launched in 1953Bray & Raitz: "Flight to the Sun", page 36. Continuum, 2001and claims to be the world's oldest travel trade newspaper. It features news, destination reports and careers advice for the travel and tourism industries. Sectors covered include travel agents, tour operators, airlines, cruise companies, hotels, tourist boards, rail travel, ferry lines, business travel and web-based operators.

The paper has an audited circulation of 26,006 {Link without Title} and is distributed via subscription and controlled circulation to high street travel agents, homeworker agents, call centres, tour operators and other travel organisations. It is published on Friday.

''TTG'' also publishes ''ttgbusiness'', a monthly magazine for the business travel sector, and a range of supplements.

The paper's website, TTGlive.com , features news, photo galleries, online training courses and job vacancies.

The editor is Lucy Huxley. The publishing director is David Goulthorpe. ''TTG'' employs about 40 staff and is published by CMP Information, a division of United Business Media . It is based at UBM's head office at Ludgate House, 245 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 9UY.

''TTG'' is also published under licence in the Middle East and North Africa, Russia, the Czech Republic, Italy, Poland and Hungary, and by Asia Media Pte Ltd in Singapore and China.
