Sunset High School is a Suburban High School in Beaverton , Oregon , USA. It is one of 8 high schools in the Beaverton School District . The school currently offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme . The Sunset Rocketry Club is a student-initiated Model Rocketry club at the school. The club attended the 2003 Team America Rocketry Challenge finals in Manassas , Virginia . Sunset High School also hosted the 2004 State Thespian conference. Former members of the nationally-competitive chess club at Cedar Park Middle School earned top honors for Sunset in the state-wide Chess For Success tournament at the Oregon Convention Center in March, 2006 , placing first and second, respectively. The Sunset Apollo Marching Band and Auxiliary were named AA Champions of the Northwest Marching Band Circuit , in November 2006, making Sunset one of the top marching programs in the entire northwestern United States, and the best band with under 100 members in the region.
