Stevens Genes is the second episode of the first season of the Disney Channel original program, Even Stevens . It was written by Ehrich Van Lowe and directed by Paul Hoen . It originally aired on June 17 , 2000 . PLOT Larry Beale ( Eric "Ty" Hodges ) is put in charge of the stop watch in Louis's gym class. He reports that Louis has run faster than his brother Donnie ( Nick Spano ), the school's greatest sports star causing Louis to become interested in making a successful name for himself along with the others in his family. This is actually a plot by Larry Beale to embarrass the Stevens family. He continues falsifying Louis's track abilities with the goal of winning the up-coming track meet and beating the "fastest" Stevens.
