Information About

Steady Flow

  • The liquid flow is smooth and uniform.

  • The velocity of the fluid at a point remains constant with respect to time.

  • The streamlines do not cross each other.

  • The equipotential lines do not cross each other.

  • Eulerian Velocity is time independent

The Reynolds Number can be used to determine the state of fluid flow.
:R_e < 1000 : Steady Flow
:1000 : Unsteady Flow
:R_e > 2000 : Turbulent Flow
