Based on the UK show Football Icon , Soccer Dreams tryouts will begin on June 29th in Toronto . Tryouts will also be held in Montreal , Vancouver , Calgary and Winnipeg . At each trial a team of coaching staff, including Everton Football Club Academy Manager Ray Hall , will whittle the trialists down to 36 competitors. On August 20th, the final 36 will report back to Ottawa where they will battle it out for the contract at the Oz Dome .
