On October 16 , 2003 , Santaella competed in the national beauty pageant Miss Venezuela , held in Caracas , where she obtained the title of 1st runner up. She is newly crowned Miss Earth Venezuela 2007 and will represent Venezuela in ''' Miss Earth 2007 ''' pageant, which will be held in the Philippines in October this year. She was crowned by Marianne Puglia, Miss Earth Fire 2006 and Alexandra Braun Miss Earth 2005. The first runner-up was Francys Lugo and will represent Venezuela at the Miss Continente Americano the next June 30th in Ecuador.
