School District 43 is one of the sixty School District s in British Columbia . The district is the third largest in British Columbia with 53 elementary schools, 13 middle schools, and 8 secondary schools. School District 43 serves the cities of Coquitlam , Port Coquitlam , Port Moody , and the villages of Anmore and Belcarra . The school district covers an area of 120 square kilometres and serves a total combined population of 170,000. It has over 4,000 full-time and part-time employees.

The third largest school district in BC, more than 31,000 students attend its 50 elementary schools (kindergarten-grade 5), 13 middle schools (grades 6-8) eight secondary schools (grades 9-12) and an alternative school. Its programs and services include:
