Saint John Vianney School is located at 4601 Hyland Avenue in San Jose, California , USA is a Private Co-educational Roman Catholic school. The school grades range from Kindergarten through 8th grade; 2 classes per grade. The school was established in September 1954 by the Sisters of the Presentation and is a member of the Diocese of San Jose. The current Co-principals of St. John Vianney School are Sister Michele Anne Murphy, PVBM and Ms. Martha Wood. The current enrollment is approximately 600 students. The school colors: green and gold. The school mascot is the Vikings. SCHOOL MISSION STATEMENT St. John Vianney Catholic Elementary School strives to develop a community grounded in Gospel values, in which students learn and practice the principles of the Catholic faith; exercise the virtues; assume moral responsibility; and experience the importance of serving others. Our comprehensive academic program seeks to prepare members of society who are integrated individuals, capable of thinking critically and committed to life-long learning. We work in partnership with the parents, supporting their efforts to foster the unique development of each student. By honoring the funds of knowledge that the students bring from their homes, our school embraces the diversity inherent in our community.
