Now widely considered Chuck Berry 's first album {Link without Title} , ''Rock, Rock, Rock'' (Chess LP-1425) was originally marketed as a soundtrack album for the motion picture of the same name, which was not true. There were many artists that appeared in the film that were not on the album. Only 4 songs on this album (Over and Over Again, I Knew From the Stars, You Can't Catch Me, and Would I Be Crying) actually appear in the film. Additionally, 8 songs by Chuck Berry, The Moonglows, and The Flamingos make up the balance of the songs on this album that do not appear in the film.

In a later Chess session the Moonglows sang background vocals for Chuck on tunes like Back in the USA {Link without Title} .
