"Radio9 has so much to say, but no idea how to say it"
The show pokes fun at some of the traditional radio programmes with segments such as:
- , Radio9 creates road accidents, riots and violent attacks and reports it live.
- , in which the host attempts to make her guests insult each other: "He just called you a poof, what's your response to that?"
- , a reality show where ordinary people attempt to fool a panel of experts in tasks such as skydiving, piloting an aircraft or downhill skiing. It nearly always results in utter disaster.
- , a play in which the father will get his sons or mistresses to perform a sitcom character at an important event to get some reward.
- , a sitcom about a doting mother and her lazy dishonest son. Played with canned laughter.
- , lists impossibly difficult tasks and states, "If you can do any one of these, you may have a place in the modern army. If you can't... We'll take you anyway. ''The modern army: We'll accept anyone.''"
- , ''Ordinary People in Extraordinary circumstances''.
Radio9 was adapted for TV on BBC3, changing its name to The Message .
