Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport is a public Airport located in Whitman County in the U.S. State of Washington , two miles east of Pullman, Washington and four miles west of Moscow, Idaho . The airport has a single Runway . The airport is the primary air link for both Washington State University in Pullman, Washington and the University Of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. Both universities use the airport for jet charters (Frontier Air Airbus A319s ) for their athletic team travels. Horizon Air is the only commercial Airline serving the airport, flying Bombardier Q200 Turboprop aircraft. Routes are shared by Lewiston-Nez Perce County Airport and Pullman through reversing circular routes that continue to the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport hub in Seattle . Seattle Air Traffic Control manages commercial traffic for the airport. The commercial terminal is essentially one large room. The entrance side includes a Horizon Air check-in desk and kiosk, rental-car desk, and a small self-service bookshop. The small TSA checkpoint occupies the center of the room, situated between glass walls. The waiting area occupies all space beyond the checkpoint. Passengers having passed through security can actually sit within several feet of people in the non-secure area, with only the glass wall in-between. Both "gates" are simply doors to the outside tarmac. Most passengers use Gate 1, on the east side of the terminal, as this is used by Horizon Air in their commercial service. Passengers walk through the door, across the tarmac, and up airstairs to the aircraft. A white cat named Dash lives in the Terminal building. The public airport shares the runway with a Fixed Base Operator , Interstate Aviation, which conducts chartered air service. There are also several hangars for private jet aircraft, most notably those of Edmund Schweitzer , founder of the local Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories company. AIRLINE
