Policyjny Klub Sportowy Katowice is a Polish Sports Club from Upper Silesia , sponsored, as the name suggests, by Katowice ’s Police department. Founded in 1924, in the interwar period the club was famous for its Swimmer s (numerous champions of Poland) and Fencer s. In 1957, the club changed its name to Gwardia Katowice .
