''Point Blanc'' is an upcoming film, the second film in the Alex Rider Series , the sequel to '' Stormbreaker ''. The Screenplay is said to be written by Anthony Horowitz , based on his Novel of the same name, and the film is slated for release in 2008 or early 2009 . Due to his age, actor Alex Pettyfer is not expected to reprise the role of Alex Rider in the sequel. Stormbreaker was a mild success in the UK and did equally well in Europe. However, in America the film was not a such a success due to last minute changes forcing the film not to be shown in a majority of cinemas across the country. This led to the film not grossing enough to kick off an immediate call for a sequel; Point Blanc. At the moment the possibility of seeing Point Blanc being made into an action movie is still probable, however nothing is confirmed. EXTERNAL LINK |
