Pine Cay was the site of the first tourist development on the Turks and Caicos. It was planned in the 1950s but was established in the 1970s. It is less than a mile wide and two mile long, though 9 miles of trails dot the island. One of the most unusual sites on the island is saltwater fish in freshwater lakes.
