Outdoor Channel is an American television channel focused on the outdoors, offering programming that includes hunting, fishing, Western lifestyle, off-road motorsports and adventure. The network can be viewed on multiple platforms including high definition, video-on-demand, as well as on a dynamic new broadband web site . Outdoor Channel is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Outdoor Channel Holdings, Inc.


OUTDOOR CHANNEL CONTENT

As the outdoor genre’s category leader, Outdoor Channel is focused on continuing an American tradition with best-in-class programming on multiple platforms. The network’s initiative to continuously provide quality entertainment for its viewers is exemplified through the creation of thematic primetime programming “blocks,” allowing viewers to watch one of many categories (fishing, hunting, outdoor adventure) of shows like Western Sportfishing, Step Outside, or Dock Dogs on a designated night. Outdoor Channel’s On-Demand offering currently has 25 hours of content per week.
Currently, no other outdoor network has been able to match the quality or depth of content Outdoor Channel has to offer.





CHANGES

On July 12, 2007, Outdoor Channel announced the launch of its re-branded on-air look inspired by the new “action black” and “adventure green” logo. Capitalizing on more than a decade of entertaining outdoor enthusiasts, the new look communicates a contemporary, action-oriented programming philosophy. This new look has also been implemented on Outdoor Channel’s new broadband website, www.outdoorchannel.tv and the re-launched corporate website, www.outdoorchannel.com.

Outdoor Channel’s new look combines the essence and action of the outdoors and signals the new direction in which the company is headed today. It also includes a new tagline: “America’s Leader in Outdoor TV.” This tagline is Outdoor Channel’s unique brand promise and is designed to communicate the network’s market position and its underlying values as well as dedication to the outdoors.
