The U.S. State of Oregon is home to several '''breweries''' that produce a large variety of '''beer'''. HISTORY Since the beginning of Portland 's micro brewing movement, Oregon has been known as the epicenter of America's micro brewing renaissance. In 2006, 30 microbreweries, more than one-third of the state total, were located in Portland. With 46 microbrew outlets, Portland has more breweries and brewpubs per capita than any other city in the United States. Many have won nationwide and international acclaim. Oregon almost has the most breweries per capita in the U.S.(Vermont leads the nation in breweries per capita). BEERS There are a number of well-known and popular beers from Oregon. Deschutes Brewery (Bend), Widmer Brothers Brewing Company (Portland), BridgePort (Portland), Full Sail (Hood River), and Terminal Gravity (Enterprise) produce well known beers, and are all very popular breweries which export beer to other states.
