New Mexico District 2 of the ''' United States House Of Representatives ''' is a Congressional District that serves the southern half of the state of New Mexico , including Las Cruces and Roswell . It is the eighth largest district in the nation. The current Representative from District 2 is Republican Steve Pearce .

Please note that U.S. Congressional District borders are periodically redrawn and some District Residence locations may no longer be in the 2nd District.

1 Antonio M. Fernández died November 7 , 1956 , just hours after he was re-elected to an 8th term.
