New Mexico District 1 of the ''' United States House Of Representatives ''' is a Congressional district that serves the central area of New Mexico , in and around Albuquerque . The current Representative from District 1 is Republican Heather Wilson . HISTORY The first district was New Mexico's only district until 1942 . After there were two districts, both were elected at-large by the entire state until 1968 .
