The New Hampshire Lottery (originally known as the "New Hampshire Sweepstakes") is the oldest modern US lottery. It began in 1964. As of June 2007, New Hampshire is part of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL). New Hampshire's games include Powerball , Hot Lotto , and numerous scratch tickets. All New Hampshire Lottery games require players to be at least 18 years old. As of June 2007, New Hampshire has sold nine jackpot winning Powerball tickets since the state joined MUSL in November 1995. The most recent such ticket was sold in Plymouth, New Hampshire for the April 28 , 2007 drawing, worth $67.6 million annuity. The ticket was claimed by a couple from Lake Zurich, Illinois .
