New Hampshire Governors Mansion




Bridges House was built by Charles Graham about 1836 . Styles Bridges, Governor of New Hampshire (1935-36) and U.S. Senator for 25 years thereafter, lived here from 1946 until his death. Left to the state upon the death of his widow, in 1969 it become the Governor's official residence.

The current Governor, John Lynch , is from Hopkinton, a neighboring town to the capital of Concord. He does not reside at Bridges House, and his official office is located in the state capitol building.
