Nebraska Highway 16 is a highway in northeastern Nebraska . Its western terminus is at Nebraska Highway 35 near Wakefield , while its eastern terminus is near Bancroft at an intersection with Nebraska Highway 51 . ROUTE DESCRIPTION Nebraska Highway 16 begins two miles south of Wakefield at an intersection with Nebraska Highway 35. It goes south, then turns east to go towards Pender . In Pender, it meets Nebraska Highway 9 and the two highways run concurrent south through Pender. They separate south of Pender and NE 16 goes southeast along the western border of the Omaha Indian Reservation . It goes through Bancroft and shortly thereafter ends at Nebraska Highway 51 .
