Metro-North Railroad is the first station in
Westchester County, New York on the
Harlem Line . It is 13.1 miles (21 km) from
Grand Central Terminal . Its ticket office and waiting area are at the bottom level of an old and run-down
Bank Of New York building on Mount Vernon Avenue. The platforms are upstairs and are long enough for all doors to open on every car.
As of
August 2006 , daily commuter ridership was 1,172 and there were 221 parking spots.
