Just as there are thousands of people commuting to work on buses, trains and cars there are also a whole gamut of various people coming in to work on powered two wheels whether they are scooters, mini-bikes, Monkey Bikes or run of the mill motorcycles (and some very special ones too). In fact in London (England) over the last ten years Powered Two Wheelers (PTW's) have increased by 40% in the last ten years just in London alone Which means about 16,000 PTW's ride into London every day - Some people would say that is a direct result of Congestion Charging in London [http://www.cclondon.com/ . Westminster Council (London) are considering charging motorcycles to park these days {Link without Title} which does seem to go against the grain of encouraging people to reduce emissions and road congestion, but that's politicians for you. |
