The Mobile-8 product called Fren was launched on the 8th December 2003. Currently the company has over two million subscribers and is growing fast. In the process of deploying the technology, Mobile-8 strategically teams up with Qualcomm as its supplier of the CDMA technology and Korea Telecom Freetel (KTF) as its Operation & Maintenance consultant. Mobile-8 deploys CDMA2000 1x and CDMA2000 1x EV-DO technology which is supported by close to 465 BTS within Java and surrounding islands.
