Mississippi Delta Community College




The MDCC campus in Moorhead is home to the Mississippi Delta Law Enforcement Training Academy.

The school was founded in 1926 as Sunflower Junior College, and was fully accredited as a two-year institution in April 1928. The name of the school was changed in 1961 to Mississippi Delta Junior College and in 1989 to Mississippi Delta Community College.

In 1994, Stewart Patridge led the football team to a 12-0 season and a national championship. Patridge would go on to play at the University Of Mississippi and win the Conerly Trophy in 1997.
