The Milton Area School District is a Public School District located in Milton, Pennsylvania . The district is localed in both Northumberland and Union Counties. It is served by the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU 16). The district is comprised of three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. Enrollment is projected by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to decline significantly over the next ten years. This is an increase over 85.5% in 2005. The high school is ranked 374th out of 606 public high schools in Pennsylvania. In the 2005-2006 school violence report, Milton Area School District reported 3 assaults on students, 87 arrests, 42 fights and 10 incidents involving weapons on school grounds. The district has a school resource police officer. August 12, 2007. AWARDS The Montandon Elementary School earned a No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School for outstanding performance on the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment for 2005.
