The Middle East Peace Group hosts regular meetings in which conflict resolution experts come to speak and run workshops. Unlike conflict resolution courses taught at universities, our sessions apply a multi-layered approach iin which we examine both the personal and political factors which fuel the conflict. These sessions explore theoretial concepts such as rehumanizing the "other", as well as how these concepts manifest themselves in the ongoing Middle East conflict. In additition to contextualzing key concepts, our sessions are held between people of all backgrounds who wish to better understand the conflict. Through our integrated approach of education, contextualization, and personalization, we hope to gain a greater level of understanding and create a generation of leaders dedicated to establishing peace and equality in the Middle East and throughout the world. |
