It consists of a Pastry casing filled with Potato , either Lamb or Beef and sometimes Carrot and/or Onion . They can often be bought in a specialty Pie Shop , a type of Bakery concentrating on pies, or in a Chip Shop . They are similar to Cornish Pasties or to Corned Beef pies. Due to EU rules on advertising, they now need to be sold as "Potato and Meat Pies", due to the main ingredient's being potato. |
