Information About

Mead Notebooks

Mead "Five Star" notebooks are a variety of blank- and lined-page Notebooks which can come divided into a maximum of seven sections. They were titled thus by Barbara Mellinger. Having multiple sections to a single notebook can be convenient for students taking multiple classes. They come in a variety of colors and are also are available in either wide- or college-ruling, depending on the academic status, needs, or desires of the student. "Neat book" notebooks come three-hole-punched, but bound loosely to a waxy backing, making it easier for students to rip out their assignments quickly and without the mess which tearing sheets from a spiral-bound notebook sometimes causes. Mead's Five Star notebooks often appear in commercials, especially during the "back-to-school" time of year.
