Mason County Historical Society




Mason County Historical Society, located in Ludington, Michigan , is a private, non-profit, educational organization. It is a museum dedicated to preserving the local history of Mason County, Michigan . Mason County Michigan Organization Directory

Historic White Pine Village , part of the Mason County Historical Society, is where nineteenth century history is shown with onsite buildings. Another part is the Mariners Old Time Baseball Team, also know as the Ludington Mariners , which was a professional Class D minor league baseball team of the early 1900's. There is also a Michigan Research Library and Genealogy Library for family history that is onsite.


Mission and Purpose

To foster a deeper understanding of and appreciation for Mason County history.

To collect, preserve, and present for viewing historically important artifacts, archives, and buildings of the inhabitants of Mason County.

To stimulate and encourage the interpretation of Mason County's past through publications, educational programs, and related historical activities.

To cooperate with appropriate individuals, organizations, and institutions of the local and state levels in projects and activities which promote and sustain a general interest in history and preservation.
