Information About

Mason Cash

HISTORY

Prior to incorporation as a limited company, the pottery was established at Church Gresley in around 1800, with master potter "Bossy" Mason taking over towards the end of the 19th century. Tom Cash purchased the pottery in 1901 and gave it the name Mason Cash & Co., a name still used when his son incorporated the company in 1941.

EXPANSION

During the 1930s and 1940s, Mason Cash expanded their product line to include petware, such as feeding and water bowls for dogs and cats.

In December 2001, Mason Cash purchased their neighbour, T. G. Green , and worked to revive that pottery's Cornish Blue kitchenware line.

The Tabletop Company purchased Mason Cash in April 2004, thus forming The Tabletop Group . They continue to manufacture kitchen and pet ceramics in the UK under the Mason Cash and T. G. Green names.
