MDF is the idea of two Extreme Metal fans named Ryan and Evan. During the 5 years of festival history, MDF has featured 130 bands from 17 countries, many of which make their US debut at the festival. The festival is promoted with the slogan: "North America's biggest underground metal party of the year."
