Mac Mcanally




Mac McAnally (born Lyman McAnally Jr., 1957 , in Red Bay , Alabama ) is an American Musician , Songwriter and Record Producer .

He scored his biggest hit single on the ''Billboard'' Magazine Hot 100 Chart in 1977 with the Song "It's a Crazy World." Since then, he has had success in the Country Music genre as a songwriter, Session Musician , and as a producer for the band Sawyer Brown .

He is currently a member of Jimmy Buffett 's Coral Reefer Band . Buffett has Recorded a number of his songs.

Mac's only Top 40 country music single, ''Back Where I Come From'', was later recorded by Kenny Chesney on Chesney's ''Me and You'' album. Although Chesney's version of the song was never released, he often performs the song in concert.
