Lyle Bouck (December 17, 1923-Present) Lietentant of the I&R Platoon of the 394th Infantry Regiment of the 99th Infantry Division in World War II, the most decorated of all platoons in World War II with the Presidential Unit Citation, four Distinguished Service Crosses, five Silver Stars, and ten Bronze Stars with V devices, all for their 20 hour struggle with an entire German battalion. Not a single man in the I&R platoon died in the war or in POW camps, all made it home safely after the war, but did not receive their medals until October 25, 1981.
