''Loons: The Fight for Fame'' is a cell-shaded beat'-em-up game for the Xbox based upon the classic Looney Tunes series. STORY Rocky And Mugsy , a pair of gangster antagonists from the Looney Tunes cartoon series, try to ruin a film studio through making extremely expensive movies so that they can buy all the studio's stock very cheaply. The two hire Yosemite Sam to be their director and prepare to try to find the worst possible actor to be the star of their movie, with the candidates for the position being the Looney Tunes characters Bugs Bunny , Daffy Duck , Sylvester The Cat , and the Tasmanian Devil . CHARACTERS
ARENAS
GAMEPLAY The gameplay for Loons has a clumsy physics system and is lousy at collision detection, making it difficult to do simple actions such as jumping. Overall, the gameplay is somewhat similar to Capcom 's Power Stone video games where four characters fight against each other in an arena, with the aim being to knock your opponents off the arena. In Loons each arena contains different "gizmos" that can be used to attack your opponents (though the gizmos aren't really need against the weak AI). Gizmos include spring-loaded boxing gloves, falling anvils, and other Acme related products. Other than just trying to knock opponents off, the game also has a star power system. In the star power system once you reach your star meter through activating props and picking up scripts around the arena, you can activate a minigame (usually a familiar arcade game such as Space Invaders ). The only purpose of the star meter and the mini-games is that they are used as requirements in single-player. GRAPHICS The graphics for Loons is mainly applied with the recently popular cel-shading effect. However the cel-shading effect doesn't help the characters look better as the shadowing is not done well and the outline of the characters are very rough and unimpressive, ruining their original clean look.
