''Loomis'' was a television pilot written and produced by Gary Janetti and Cheri Oteri . It starred Oteri as a local news reporter who dreams of becoming a national talk show host. The supporting cast consisted of Will Arnett , Shirley Knight , and Philip Baker Hall , Mary Birdsong , and Tim Sarkes .
