Previously named the Consumer Complaints Service, The Legal Complaints Service (LCS) is an independent complaints handling body. It is part of the Law Society Of England And Wales , but operates independently. The services offered are confidential and free to use. Each case is looked at impartially and the LCS tries to find a solution that is acceptable for everyone concerned. LCS Chief Executive, Deborah Evans, said “The organisation’s vision, an independent, responsive, Legal Complaints Service of quality, mirrors our purpose which is to resolve problems such as a solicitor not having done what they have been instructed to, causing unreasonable delay or failing to keep their client informed about what is going on.” The LCS and Chief Executive are both steered by the [http://www.legalcomplaints.org.uk/about-us/our-board.page Board] for the Legal Complaints Service.
