(born 28 March 1988 ) is an English Actress best known for playing Stacey Slater in the popular BBC Television Soap '' EastEnders ''. Before joining the soap in November 2004 Turner auditioned for the role of Demi Miller but eventually agreed to take on the role of Stacey. {Link without Title} BACKGROUND Turner was born in London and currently lives with her parents and two younger sisters Daisy (17) and Lily (5) in Hertfordshire . Her Second Cousin is actor Philip Dowling who played Leo Taylor in ''EastEnders'' in 2005. AWARDS Turner has been nominated for numerous awards, notably the in nominations for sexiest actress 2006, however, Lytton won this award. She won the 'Best Actress' award at the British Soap Awards in May 2006. Also during 2006, won the Mental Health Media Award, for the storyline between Stacey and her mum's mental illness. During September 2006, Turner won two Inside Soap Awards for Best Actress and for Best Couple which she shared with Charlie Clements . On the 26th May 2007, Lacey won the award for 'Best Dramatic Performance' at the 2007 British Soap Awards . She was the only EastEnder to win an award at the event. She lost out in the Sexiest Female catergory to Roxanne McKee and she failed to win Best Actress, which she had won the previous year, losing to Kate Ford .
