Kindersley hosts the Indoor Rodeo and annual Trade Show in June, and the Goose Festival and parade in September. Kindersley was chosen as the launch site for the Da Vinci Project 's Ansari X Prize qualifying flights in early October 2004 , but the plans were scrapped. Kindersley has three schools, all operated under the Sun West School Division . The local hockey team is known as the Kindersley Klippers , who play for the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League .
