PRODUCTS The Kettle brand features all-natural products, free from many common, unhealthy ingredients such as Trans Fat . The business was started in 1978 by Cameron Healy. As of 2006, the company employed more than 600 people worldwide. Kettle's most famous product is their batch-cooked potato chip. The name is derived from the original method of manufacturing the chips, a process that involved cooking thinly sliced potato wedges in a kettle. The company's unique flavors are especially popular and the company has occasionally held contests and large polls to introduce new flavors, printing the names of the voters on the bags of the new flavors. The 2006 contest winners were Tuscan Three Cheese and Buffalo Bleu; past contest winners include Cheddar Beer and Spicy Thai. Kettle brand potato chips feature Expeller-pressed high Monounsaturated Safflower and/or Sunflower Oil . This makes them healthier than traditional potato chips by being relatively low in Saturated Fat . APPEARANCE IN POPULAR CULTURE
