Jefferson High School is the only High School in the Jefferson,Ohio,USA Area. The current principal is Tom Harrison,the vice principal is William Nye Jr,and super intendent being Doug Hladek. The schools nickname is the Fighting Falcons almost always shortened to Falcons with the colors being red and black. The logo differs from a falcon in human shape to the old Atlanta Falcons logo flying through a J. Their main rivals are Lakside, Geneva, and Conneaut High Schools. They play in the NEC or North East Conference. Another thing known about the school is its ability to get scholarships to small schools around the area such as Gannon University and more. It's most known sports figure is Matthew Hatchette who played Wide Receiver for the Falcons through high school and was drafted in the 7th round of the NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings and went on to play for the New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars and In the NFL Europe Team Amsterdam Admirals before leaving the league after 2003. The Falcon Tennis Team has been successful in past years, being the dominant team in the NEC. It once had current Tennis instructor Josh Patterson.
