The most notable activity by the IAB is their work with Price Waterhouse Coopers in producing the Bellwether report {Link without Title} . This is used across the online industry to see how advertising spend is distributed across different channels.

The organisation also has some responsibility for ensuring that online advertising sticks to certain guidelines and works with the Association Of Online Publishers (AOP) in order to ensure everything works properly. This has resulted in advertising sticking to 'IAB guidelines'. This is what governs the size of the majority of adverts on the internet {Link without Title} .

The IAB has also begun to work with the Internet Advertising Sales House (IASH) to regulate network sales houses to ensure stability after a spate of well publicised problems {Link without Title} with ad placements.
