The International Aeronautics and Space Administration (IASA) is a fictional alliance of space agencies of many nations in the Science Fiction Television Series '' Farscape ''. As the name may suggest, it is an International version of the United States ' National Aeronautics And Space Administration , and may have even absorbed much (if not all) of NASA's assets, including personnel. This includes Jack Crichton , a NASA astronaut who was in rotation during the '' Challenger '' event. The agency was responsible for John Crichton 's ill-fated ''Farscape'' project and had facilities in Australia . Another IASA is also featured in the movie '' Event Horizon '', albeit no connection exists with the ''Farscape'' series. |
